Clouds At Last ; Urban Outfitters Dress

Ever search for that perfect dress that makes you feel good every time you wear it without fail? I found that in this dreamy flowing bell sleeve dress from Urban Outfitters. When I got this dress it wasn't on sale, but after trying it on I just couldn't leave without it, it fit like a glove.

I took this dress with me to New York and got so many compliments when I wore it on one of my last days there. And although it can ideally be worn as a dress I'd go so far as to say that you can even wear it with pants and half tuck it orrr that you can hide the bottom under a skirt maybe? It would have to be tested (lol).

I just love the boho feel of the dress overall and my photographer really caught that vibe.

Denim Obsessed

Denim... How can I begin to describe denim?

Ever since I can recall I've always had this need to have a good pair of jeans in my closet, when my mom would take me shopping first thing I always went for was the jean section. I am a firm believer that price doesn’t always amount to quality of manufacturing.

I recall a few years back I went jean shopping at this random vintage/ self producing denim store near my house which is now sadly gone due to other businesses thriving more where they were formerly located I suppose. My longest worn jeans were from this store, I owned two pairs.

They were well made, dark wash and very versatile when it came to pairing ,as almost all denim is. $20 Bought me two of my favorite pair of jeans I have ever owned, and now that they finally gave up on me (after 5 years) I am on the hunt for a new denim love.

Nevertheless this taught me that I didn’t always have to go for super pricey denim like I was used to, but that as long as I knew the feel, fit, and stitching was good  I could find a good trusty pair.  I have linked some of my favorite budget friendly as well as brands worth splurging on below!

Feeling Blue

The weather has officially begun to cool down, just not enough to forego wearing ripped jeans, dresses, or showing off a little leg here and there. I love comfort and with the cold weather this dayI had to pair this outfit with my favorite Steve Madden Espadrilles. My dress is from Romwe I love this dress because it is off the shoulder and can be worn in many different ways such as a blouse (look here)

Zara Dress

I finally got a chance to catch up on outfit posting. This new app I found for scheduling my time seems to be working so far, time well divided between things I need to do is has been a struggle (tbh).

Its been almost a month since I started to wear my hair curly and although I lack ideas to making hairstyles I am managing just fine :) It has started to cool down pretty much every night/morning here in Houston and although I am not confident it will remain that way for long at least I get to wear things such as my new favorite Zara Sateen Tunic. The moment I saw it in the store I knew it had to come home with me, and the buttons allow you to wear it as a cardigan of sorts like I wore it. I've worn it day and night already and have gotten lots of "where did you get that?" ;)

I've linked what I am wearing below!

BCBG x Schutz

Yesterday was a great day, I did a special collaboration with On Point Custom Homes.

I woke up early in the morning had my coffee and worked, then I headed out to one of the most beautiful homes I've ever been in.

The property at 2211 Colquitt is currently for sale and it is breathtaking (I didn't want to leave), and enjoyed every minute of my time there. The amount of light that comes through the windows from the sunlight is gives it such a peaceful feel,  I could just see myself there reading a book with my coffee.

This outfit is simple because it's a dress and dresses are the best way to throw something on and not have to over think it. I found this BCBG dress at a vintage store, it was not taken good care of but I took it home and gave it some loving since it was very much still wearable. Similar Here and Here My sandals are from Schutz and currently on sale!

Moonstone ring: Pandora

Love Soul Style

I recently have been super caught up with work.. it has been crazy, sometimes sitting in front of a computer at a desk all day makes you not want to be close to one at all..for a while. I have been in a slump, writing just hasn't been something I've been wanting to do but I am sitting here with at the peak of my caffeine levels an am finally writing (music helps too).I had to drag myself out of the house because it was almost like I never had coffee all day or energy for that matter. But what's important is that I am here to talk about my recent collaboration, with Love Soul Style a brand of boho bracelets that helps women embrace who they are, with the struggles and insecurities we all have.

love soul style

I am collaborating to inspire other women to be who they are and embrace all of their flaws the actual ones and the ones other people make us think we have. I remember always loving to have my hair curly as a little girl, and as I grew older I remember someone at school making fun of me for wearing my hair curly, maybe it was because in middle school everyone is mean intentionally or are insecure themselves. Either way I remember not wearing my hair curly for years only during the summer occasionally until just recently.

DYI Fringe

Fringe skirts .. how can I begin to describe fringe skirts. They have become one of our guilty pleasures (admit it). And I being the huge skirt fan that I have become went on the hunt for a good spring skirt. This skirt did not look like this when it first caught my eye at a vintage shop months ago along with a Ralph Lauren one I scored for a good price. Since I personally did't not like the fact that it was too long and I stepped on it (sorry I'm short).

stephezinho

So since I had yet to have my needs fulfilled with having a fringe skirt in my closet I decided to make one. I sat for a while and thought deeply of how bad I could mess it up but then the thought creeped that this specific skirt wasn't very expensive (compared to the Ralph Lauren one) and that I could do something I really liked to it. I went for it dug through all my sewing supplies, found my scissors and went for it. The result.. a few miss cuts here and there which are not noticeable at all now when the entire skirt is finished and is flowing freely.  So after a painstaking hour of cutting and making sure I didn't cut crooked I was excited to try it on and I have to tell you it was well worth it. So the end result seven dollars can get you a spring skirt to love. Get your shopping on, and bring out those scissors. My sandals are from Charlotte Russe but they are sold out (sad face) Oh and did I mention I did not map out my lines to cut? Lol What do you guys think? Would you wear this or try it at home? Let me know! Also I had to do a little dance to show you guys how it flows hehe.
